Point Dume Engagement : Vanessa + Steven

Point Dume is just so dang pretty, it’s a new fan favorite for my couples! Thankfully, we were blessed with the most perfect weather, after having to cancel twice due to the crazy rainstorms. Vanessa and Steven were so much fun to hang out with, that I even forgot I was working for a second. You’ll see in the photos below, they brought some champagne along, and, well...Steven prematurely popped it. Vanessa’s reaction was priceless!  :D

These two lovebirds first met about 15 years ago when they were in a Quincincera together. Though they weren’t partners, Vanessa had a little crush on Steven, but he was partnered with another girl that he liked. From that point on, she had her eye on him, but he was always taken. After a few years passed, during his senior year and Vanessa’s junior year, her best friend had a small get together, where they started talking and instantly hit it off. They wound up going to another party at one of his friend’s houses where Vanessa knew absolutely knew no one, but she went because she just wanted to be around him. Joking, Steven said he knew she was his “ride or die” from that moment on! Dating on and off ever since, for the past 12 years, they’ve had their fair share of ups and down but through out it all, they have always found a way back to each other, where these soulmates are meant to be!

I’m so excited for Vanessa and Steven’s Cinco de Mayo wedding this year - it’s just around the corner and certainly going to be a party!

Malibu Engagement : Amanda + Cameron

Malibu is filled with the most beautiful locations for engagement sessions - there really isn’t a bad place to shoot. Everywhere you turn, there’s either ocean views or rolling mountains, that’s why it’s always a fan favorite! It doesn’t matter what time of the year or what the weather is, it’s always magnificent. Amanda and Cameron brought their adorable puppy and he acted like a professional model, as you can see below! I love when clients bring their animals, it always make the day just that much better! So the phrase “It’s a small world” really applies perfectly for Amanda and Cameron’s relationship. They both grew up down the street from each other, but it wasn’t until September 2011 in Las Vegas when their paths finally crossed. Cameron was living with a mutual friend of Amanda’s, who planned a weekend trip with a bunch of friends to Vegas, where they met. It amazes me, a story like this comes up more frequently than you’d think. Meant to be? I would say so! Well, the rest is history, as they’ve been together ever since. I guess they can give credit to their friends for planning that weekend trip to Vegas, where it all began! Thanks Cameron and Amanda’s friends, because of you these two amazing people are getting married and I get to be a small part in their big day!  :)

Cancun Wedding : Pam + Bryan

Where do I even start? This  Cancun wedding was one for the books for many reasons! First reason, it was in Cancun, Mexico, who doesn't like Cancun? Second reason, I now have new life long friends. Third reason, this was one of my favorite weddings to date! The wedding took place at the Royalton Rivera Cancun, this place was a dream! Pair this place with a couple like Pam and Bryan, and you are now living your dream! All week it kept saying their were gong to be rain and thunderstorms on the wedding date. We all kept saying "nope, noway, it's not going to rain, it's going to pass." Sure enough, not a cloud in the sky. The most beautiful weather you could ever hope for a wedding day. The ceremony location had the most incredible views looking out towards the ocean, it was breathtaking. I had to pinch myself every now and again and make sure this was real life. After the ceremony, we waltzed around the beautiful property as if it was a photography playground. At every corner, there was something more stunning then the last. One thing we chatted about was going into the Ocean, something know as the "Trash The Dress", I can't tell tell you how excited I was for this! We ended up doing this incredible shoot the next day because the sun was setting fast. It turned out to be the perfect plan! There were amazing vibes the entire trip. In order to get married in Mexico, you have to first be legally married in the United States. I had the pleasure of photographing Pam and Bryan's elopement at the beautiful Santa Barbara Court prior to this trip (I will share those photos in a different post)! Everything about this wedding was prefect, right from the moment I arrived to LAX, to the moment I put the keys in my front door returning. I am truly honored that I was able to be apart of Pam and Bryan's wedding journey, and I am even more honored to call these two my friends!

El Matador Beach Engagement : Hannah + Nick

El Matador beach makes for one stunning background for engagment sessions! I couldn't be more thankful for the perfect weather we had for this shoot!  Especially seeing how we had to cancel twice before, due to the crazy amount of rain we've had in California this year! Needless to say, this day couldn't of been any nicer! Nick and Hannah met at Chico State while Nick played baseball, Hannah played volleyball. One night, Hannah's older teammates threw a party, which the baseball team attended (Nick was on the baseball team). Hannah first saw Nick dancing next to one her best friends, and instantly she wanted to find out who he was. So Hannah casually strolled over to her best friend Katie, to say hi with intent to meet Nick. They introduced their names to each other, and that was about it. Baby steps. Later that week, Nick followed Hannah on the Gram, and sent Hannah a DM (I hope everyone's keeping up with the lingo), and asked Hannah out their first date! Little did these two know, this was the beginning of a 4-year relationship, 3 of which were long distance (Nick travels playing baseball for the Minor League). Thank god for Nick's DM on social media, these two are now getting married!!!
